Korean studies

















History  

The Korean Studies of the Department of Asian Studies, National University of Mongolia was established in 1991 and has been prepared Korean language teachers, translators, and Korean studies specialists.  

Present actions  

In the 2020-2021 academic year, 81 students are studying through the Korean Studies program prepared by the department and 61 students are studying through the program of Korean language translation. In total, 45-50 new students are enrolled in these programs each academic year. Currently bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs are offered.  

Regarding the learning environment and facilities for students, the Korean Studies has a library with more than 3,000 books, textbooks, manuals, more than 30 CDs and video tapes.

The department has currently 5 full-time, 1 trainee teacher, 2 specialist teachers and 3 part-time lecturers.
